Cleaning :
TSP is a powerful cleaning agent and degreaser that can remove grease, grime, smoke, soot stains, and chalked paint from surfaces such as walls, floors, and kitchen appliances. It can also be used to remove mold and mildew stains when mixed with bleach.
Food Additive :
TSP is used as an emulsifying agent, pH regulator, leavening agent, and to improve texture, retain moisture, increase shelf life, and prevent spoilage. The FDA considers TSP safe to consume up to 70 grams per day, but some evidence suggests that high levels of phosphate may be harmful to health.
Industrial Applications :
TSP is used in water treatment, as a buffer in chemical reactions, and as a flux in soldering. It can also be used in agriculture to reduce pathogenic bacteria in poultry.
